Hitch-22
Hitch-22 is a chronology of 1922, focused on Alfred Hitchcock and the making of his lost film Number Thirteen. It grew out of the same research as my book The First True Hitchcock, available from University of California Press. I wrote an introductory essay explaining it for the Silent London blog, here.
It would not have been possible without the Media History Digital Library, Internet Archive, British Newspaper Archive, and the digitized newspapers to which I've had access through libraries – some public, some academic. But much of it was done page by page, or microfilm reel by microfilm reel.
